Do I need a tripod?
A tripod is a required part of calibration and testing in order to achieve consistent and accurate results.
It is important that the camera or target does not move during calibration as it may impact results. With very long lenses (over 200mm) a very stable support system is recommended, shot/shutter vibration can be a factor and a well dampened tripod can reduce issues (as can increasing light on the target).
