Very exciting news, especially for our US based FoCal users, it’s now possible to buy Reikan FoCal products direct in the USA!
New US Based Stockist
We have a new stockist, perhaps one of the largest and most well known photography stores in the US, B&H Photo. If you’re already a FoCal user and prefer buying a physical hard target in the US now you can, it’ll arrive quicker and save on shipping. New users will be able to buy FoCal Pro and FoCal Plus complete with standard hard target direct in the USA.
What’s In The Box?
In the box with FoCal Pro and FoCal Plus is the standard hard target (150mm), a printed quick-start guide along with the FoCal activation code. This code is entered on a dedicated ‘start page’ and from there your online account is created with access to the most recent FoCal releases for both Mac and Windows platforms.

Thats kind of good news I can get your products from the USA but for us in Canada it would be even better to order from within Canada.
Hi Dean,
It’s a major thing for us to add a US stockist, when and whether we roll out to other countries is less certain. Things are going really well with B&H and it’s proving popular.
Hopefully being able to get boxed FoCal and hard targets from the USA at least is a step closer 🙂
Best Regards,
Dave
Do I have to buy focal plus through b&h or can I buy a download? Just double checking. Thanks!
Hi Kelly,
Yes, very possible to download the printable version direct from the website and print your own target on a standard inkjet printer if you prefer.
Best Regards,
Dave
I need to calibrate a 24mm lens that I often use for shooting large groups of people at ten feet or so, At this distance the target is to small. Any way I can work around this?
Hi Leroy,
Thank you for your recent purchase, the best place to get support is via the support contact form, blog comments are not handled in the same way and will likely take longer to get a response.
Several options, you can print the target larger, or in some cases use the ‘zoom function’, see Why do I not get a green tick using the Target Setup utility?
Hope that helps, rather than create a longer thread here any follow up please use the ticket system 🙂
Best Regards,
Dave
When USA will be available in version 2.1?
You can download it from your page on the Internet and pay in dollars?
I would be easier to buy in dollars from Argentina.
Thanks and regards
Hi Néstor,
Thank you for your interest in FoCal.
The version at B&H is already 2.1, when you buy a boxed FoCal you always gain access to the most current release of FoCal. Buying from FoCal the online store the price is listed in GBP, when you purchase your payment provider will have to do the currency conversion so if your account is in US dollars that’s what is used. The UK pound is fairly low against the US dollar at the moment as well 🙂
Best Regards,
Dave
What is the difference between the Pro and the Plus? I see that the Pro “focus calibrate and test” and the Plus “focus calibrate.” What does that mean?
Hi Barbara,
Thank you for your interest in purchasing FoCal.
There are some differences, the Pro options contains extra features, for example Aperture Sharpness and Focus Consistency tests, for a full list of differences worth checking the FAQ Which version of Reikan FoCal should I buy? 🙂
Best Regards,
Dave
After doing some research, I have decided to purchase the Focal Pro Software. However, I am confused – I can purchase the software form Reikan for $69.99 British Pound ($98 USD).
BUT … B&H is selling it for $134 USD – I don’t understand why it is so expensive from them.
Willing to comment ? ? ?
Hi Daniel,
Thank you for your interest in purchasing FoCal.
The numbers you quote are correct, though are comparing different things(!) 🙂
The price you quote at B&H is for the boxed FoCal (physically shipped items and includes the 150mm FoCal hard target). The 69.99 GBP pricing is for a download (not physical boxed item) and does not include any hard (pre-printed) target.
The download option is popular and most users tend to go with the download version and Print the FoCal Target themselves.
Best Regards,
Dave
the software inside the PRO box is installable for Mac or do I have to buy a dedicated version?
thank you
Hi Daniele,
Thank you for your interest in FoCal.
Yes, both the boxed version and the download version give access to use FoCal on both Windows and Mac based system.
You don’t need to purchase a specific version as both systems are supported, the complete system requirements are listed via Which versions of Mac and Windows are supported?
Best Regards,
Dave
Do you know when the supply of the Pro will reach B&H Photo in the US – I want to order but they are out of stock
Hi Jeanette. The stock is due at B&H any day now (or is already there), so they should be showing as “in stock” very soon.
